Final Day to Visit the Sea Turtle Hospital:
SATURDAY AUGUST 30, 2008

BALLOONS and TURTLES don't mix

Discarded balloons drift into the water

and are mistaken for food by sea turtles
   and other marine animals.
Shackleford III was lucky to be able to pass these ingested pieces of balloons.

 TOPSAIL 16 RELEASED

After many months of rehabilitation 16 sea turtles are released in front of a cheering crowd.
More photos of the day in our ALBUM .

Beach Patrol 2008

Turtle falls in hole before nesting!
Please fill in your holes!

The turtle crawled into the hole on the far left (and below) and was able to turn and crawl out.
This could have caused serious injury or death to the sea turtles and humans.

Please use common sense and fill in your holes each night.
