THE STRANDING Quickly falling water and air temperatures can be deadly for  sea turtles using shallow water habitats.  This loggerhead might have other issues preventing her from migrating out of the area.
THE TREATMENT        
Warmed slowly.
FEB 2009
Thanks to the Coast Guard stationed in Fort Macon January was able to catch a ride our to the 70 degree waters.  She and eleven others were released into the beautiful blue that is our Atlantic Ocean.
