THE STRANDING Observed in distress in the marsh behind Holden Beach.  Holden Beach turtle project member Lynn Watkins responded to the call and delivered this little green to the KBSTRRC.  The turtle has a carapace and plastron fracture consistent with a boat propeller strike.
THE TREATMENT The fracture was flushed with saline and treated with antibiotics, then placed in shallow water.
     
Lockwood receives care under watchful eyes.
